Sometimes resurfacing isn’t enough. When asphalt has failed at the base level — major cracking, deep potholes, heaving, or drainage issues — the only real fix is full excavation and replacement.

At Horizon Paving, we don’t take shortcuts. We remove the damaged pavement completely, assess and rebuild the base properly, then install new asphalt that’s designed to last.

The base is everything. A properly prepared sub-base is the difference between pavement that holds up for 20 years and pavement that starts cracking again in two. We’ve seen the work of contractors who rush this step — and we’ve had to fix it.

Our Process

• Remove and haul away all existing damaged asphalt
• Assess and grade the sub-base, adding or compacting material as needed
• Ensure proper drainage is in place before paving
• Install new asphalt in properly compacted layers
• Finish with a smooth, clean, professional surface
